In all the times he had met her in all the times they had been together He had never said the word goodbye but that night, that night in the Jolly Bolly Theater of Roses... He had uttered, He had muttered... only one word... "Bye" and did not know why... a few days later, he saw her up in the balcony of a club, in what had been a house for the moving picture shows His Juliet, that had so often waved to him as they parted like from the terrace of the Palac Adria her blonde hair fluttering gently in the breeze... But this night, that night, there was no breeze there was no smile, no longing on her face to set his mind at ease He spotted 2 of the women he had cared most for in the world one no longer wanted to speak to him, and the other, his once proud Juliet managed a half-hearted wave, She looked down, looked sad, She could not return his gaze She looked pensive, looked amiss,... looked ashamed neither one of the girls came down to say hi nor was there a friendly welcoming, or an invitation to wine he did not know if he would get to talk to her again, you see, she blamed her absence due to the demands of now, what she claimed to be... after months of and years of cheating and agony a newly reformed, now deserving boyfriend He got his own wine, lit a smoke trying not to look up at her, he took his toke he sipped his wine, pretending he was ok, pretending he was fine two girls came and stood by him, two flirty girls, batting more than a lash he looked up at the strangers and to the balcony at last no Juliet, there was no one was there as these two Jezebel harlots brushed his derriere bolting into the darkness, bolting into the past on a cold rainy night v Praze... He was gone in a flash [This message has been edited by martiniat8 (11-03-2010 08:36 PM).] |

Very much like one of those bollywood movies. Fine writing. "Hardwork pays in the long run" |

I thought you might relate to this one... However I would like to hear your interpretation of the end... What do you think happened? Where did he go? |

No fair giving pop quizzes! Frankly I enjoyed the mystery at the end. But you can spoil it for me if you want and tell me where he went. ebm |

Ne Ne Ne (No) :-) That's the fun of it... Leaving it up to the reader for interpretation, or perhaps maybe, wait for the next installment of the story ;-) |
