She keeps them hidden
away from the world
-a world benighted
that refuses to see
beyond her enchanting smile
which she wears - tauntingly
she sits at her mirror
perhaps in vain?
admiring her precious diamonds
but theres no showcase here
No, no one can ever see
behind closed doors
they glisten

beautifully

so the world knows not
of her hidden wonders
they remain ignorant
to her accumulated jewels
which loses it shine
just as soon as its formed
such lovely tears-
her Precious diamonds.

Excellent play on words and the poem itself moved the reader (me) to feel some of the passion she felt as she and her precious diamonds came together. And THAT is telling it like it is.
