Josephine six months pregnant on a boat from Germany heading for the grandeur of Saskatchewan prairies you find a small wooden church a field of wheat and bones you knew you wouldn't see your son again when he left for the war stationed far from your Deutschland while you checked in each week at the post office then the fever came, quick and bloody when your son returns he breaks the frozen ground for your gray body |

Influenza epidemic early in the last century did wipe out a lot of families.. your story seems to fit that event well.... enjoyed your write |
