In the silence they come for me Witnesses to my crimes Dragging me away in chains Bound countless times They take me into the void And pin me down with force I scream and cry and struggle Until my voice is hoarse My body is covered in bruises My flesh is torn by their will The darkness seeps into my bones A creeping, crawling chill This never ending torment Is wrecking havoc on my mind I struggle to keep my wits together In this cage I am confined Writhing in this emptiness My soul shuddering in the void I feel the darkness taking me As my hope is utterly destroyed |

I like the hopeless turn of this one. Let me out to see a cold dark sun. Life in a cage is lacking hope. In this darkness I must cope. |

This is a good goth poem that deserves to be read again. |
