Sometimes I don't want to know how your day went because if it was bad, I wasn't there to make it better like a good wife does. My days are spent missing you. My nights are restless, achy. I toss and turn and clutch pillows, and wake in the morning shaky. All I want to know is when you will be home, when I'll see you again, so I can make things better because that's what a good wife does. And you've been so good to me, can't help but to want to be, each and every day of my life, the perfect model of a good wife. |

I can appreciate "good wives"...as long as they have "good husbands." Ida [This message has been edited by Marchmadness (10-24-2010 11:29 AM).] |

To want to take the pain away from the one you love, to be a "good wife," is an admirable trait. Although, in this poem I sense, very lightly, but I sense a hint of sarcasm. . . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(!$! |
