He fell in love with her The roses were thin that morning, ashes off the balcony, Her hair twisted into the sunrise, the coffee just right, Their conversation like a small written scripture They took the sun out for a ride, Laid on the steps of their brownstone home Flesh to flesh, their backs faced the southern wall of the sea, Where waves watched and dove onto the rocks of the shore. Their arms around one another Windows staring, lightly watching their faces As they washed the tint from their glare. Their hammock rocking back and forth Back and forth like the thoughts of a young child. She tucked her head under his shoulder, Like a soft pillow with a care, His eyes drew on her, Slowly he lowered his head, his neck, His palms touched the ground She touched him; let the fingers of her hand Slide across his neck, across the center, down to his stomach Where her hands found his navel slightly shaking from the cold. He brought his hand to her face, Closed his eyes, he grazed her forehead and cheeks with his fingertips, With his gentle touch, with the soft pinch of skin running down her face, She closed her eyes; his slowly followed. |

enjoyed... you capture a tenderness and a passing moment in such a way that the reader can see and feel the emotion without them being stated... nicely done.. indeed |
