Electric Nightfall I looked at the steel towers, At the high-tension wires, and thought, "Amazing, how much really works Despite corruption, despite fools." The clouds formed golden shells at last Above a setting summer sun, And soon the streets would fill with glare, Towered lights beyond compare. Sometimes this world seems all anew As beacons rise from crimson skies, With barely any interruption. The generators bow and hum. |
