The Devil was laughing
mocking me
and hell's gate
welcomed me
with arms wide open
just like you did
and I accepted
for lack of stregth

Damn you

you took it all
well what was left of it
My soul
you broke me
and I fell
down-down-down
into despair

Can I crawl back?

I'm exhausted
giving up
maybe this is my limit
and all this time
the Devil has been laughing.

I agree with the Dark Stranger`s comment for the most part except for the part about the devil being a democrat. He`s really a Republican.

Whether rich or poor in worldly ways, a person has to be a little careful about claiming "the Devil made me do it."
