I watch as wrists turned out the path of vein runs faint blue beneath the cinnamon of skin Then trace with fingertip from palm along inner arm To underline the syllables of pulse And form verses from thesaurus of your sighs When knotted chords of moonlight tether your thoughts To the moment And not the hymn Sung by choral tongues “Thou shalt not…” it always begins A collage of carefully trimmed Images blend into the background white as layers added Weigh closed eyes and the sin is hidden under entendred double Edges of the hem so carefully worn below the knees So no one sees the scars of falling down Or knows the weight of tibia beneath the flesh An offering at eventide begins A whim of fortunes told in fairytales that fold along with towels Adrift in moment’s pause, you draw breath and find The touch of hand is real and moves within The space between words lain down long ago By priests as they read tomes and absolved the soul Of all you did not confess to them But still Enjoyed While I imagine the rise and fall of chest as you breathe To scribe with pen metered space of script along the small of back Marking paragraphs of want or need Where you can only see from mirrored view and read With backwards glance and know How tendons along the wrist are bound by silken cords To the ends of fingertip “Forgive me Father, for I have sinned” Words you never heard from lips that held a vow Taken from the verse of Psalms Or seen written on the wind by Michael's wings as he holds sway over this Dark October Sky [This message has been edited by Cpat Hair (10-07-2010 12:31 PM).] |

oh my sir, that was beautiful indeed... and very touching. I'm not quite sure why but it made me cry. (smiling). Eusta |

I'm honored that it moved you on an emotional level. So much of the underlying premise of why I write ( or try to, to be more precise) is the underlying emotional content of living. When those emotions resonate, or some part of them find root in the reader...it is always a bit of a surprise to me, but certainly... cherished. thank you ma'am.... for your patience with my scribbles and your comments. |

Excellent approach, and not a work to be taken in at one setting. Not only is much said, but what is left unsaid hints of so much more intended...if that makes any sense? |

what a beautiful sight you have painted the wrists, fingertips, scars and those wings [This message has been edited by The Lady (10-14-2010 08:52 AM).] |
