A lot different than Florida, huh? Know the feeling when having to shovel 2 ft of it and more last week or so. ![]() M |

I find little that is 'lonelier' than a snowfall ... captured well in the 'write' ! |

thanks everyone ![]() M, I was thinking of you then, and worried about my husband who was stranded in northern PA during the blizzard. Thank God he's in Houston now. Maybe he can stay in the south for awhile. Yes Bruce, snow is lonely when there's only one cup of hot chocolate being made, one pair of fuzzy slippers being put on, one person sitting by the fire...but soon he will be home again, at least for a couple days. |

thanks everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed this. Lindsay, not sad anymore friend. My hubby dropped by the house on his way up to Illinois today and it was wonderful. We had that hot chocolate and toasted by the fire (well technically an LP gas heater but imagination does wonders). It was a beautiful cold snow-filled day! |

Very effective writing in pulling the reader into your world. I felt cold, lonely, isolated ~ yet very peaceful. ![]() I'm happy to hear that your hubby was able to make a pit stop and help warm up his wife and take the lonliness away! ![]() Loved this post, Dixie! Be safe, be warm, be loved, be happy! Love 'n hugs, Linda www.lindadowd.com |
