In my inward in thought times My soulful think sing comes in rhymes Flowing easily in to el why lines Morsels snared on slant fork tines Incredulously I curse my failing memory It fell together so perfectly Away from paper (naturally) Now I sit uncomfortably The page facing me confrontationally The cursor tapping its foot impatiently |

smiling here....as I remember how in the half awake state poems would come to me just before I drifted off or as I was waking.... and then when I went to capture them, the meter was wrong, or the words clumsy, the point obfuscated... and that cursor, tapping its foot impatiently was always an source of irritation and dread... |

Don't you just hate that? Think of all the good ones that got away..... |

(chuckling) in my case I try to think of it as all the poetry which escaped the mangle of my mind.... for the betterment of all I might add.... |
