Even with desire One still dies without the other And even with love You will stray to leave me weakly met Love leaves me lonely And to rationalize my ends in your absence With the creaky boards of our hollow home Accenting the guilt of my forward steps Alone And never finding where you left it And it’s the best we have So may I go first if not both by fate |

This poem expresses a deep, poignant loneliness in a very poetic way. Also points to a universal truth: we die alone. I relly like it. Bravo. |
