Even with desire
One still dies without the other
And even with love
You will stray to leave me weakly met
Love leaves me lonely
And to rationalize my ends in your absence
With the creaky boards of our hollow home
Accenting the guilt of my forward steps
Alone
And never finding where you left it
And it’s the best we have
So may I go first if not both by fate

This poem expresses a deep, poignant loneliness in a very poetic way. Also points to a universal truth: we die alone. I relly like it. Bravo.
