When I am hungry, the one last can of cheap soup is the very best. **** By a peaceful gate we stand together, lone oak beyond the hayfields. **** Fudging the data is not a very nice thing to do in science. Infinity: a sidelong glance at the next dimension. |

Very interesting and thought-provoking, easy! I am sadly familiar with the one about the soup, too, from days gone by. Love the image in the 2nd Haiku of the N and companion tree. . Wishing you the best~ Amaryllis |

Same to you, Amaryllis. "The N"? |

Sorry... `N` is critique parlance for `narrator`... since I cannot ever assume a poem is autobigraphical (been burnt by that before) ~S |

Ah, thanks. Most all of my stuff here is extemporaneous at-the-keyboard, and is therefore wrought from recalled personal observations. |

Very well, easy! Good to know... I shall desist with the `N` lol ~S |

Sometimes, Easy, I care not to read the responses first, but to do directly from the poem to the response... but tonight, I'm grateful for not following that self-directed path; because it gave me insight, and some exposure upon the poet... so... Write often, write soon. |

Great, more haiku. I've missed them. Been on holiday in California. I like all of these. The one about science is very thought-provoking. My husband worked for a big laboratory in Europe for years. Talk about fudging, stealing, etc. ! I think the one I like the best is the second, the most classic. Somehow that oak tree is wonderfully visual and poetic. Thanks. |

Thank you, Sunshine, and thank you, Bastet, for your kind words and encouragement. Bastet, welcome back. You must be psychic---I had planned to do another "laboratory" themed ditty. |
