Wet yellow Orange and brown The fallen autumn leaves After rain always lie In the fenced in back yard The sky is forever Gray then blue White clouds like snowy Distant mountains eternally Drift across above a horizon line Made of house tops telephone wires And old oak trees I am waiting for you as before By the small one car garage You called for me and of course I came And there you are Your long blond hair Streaming again In the cold Clear October air There’s no need To hurry Why rush Take care I’m always here . |
