Iridescent, I thought as I watched
The greens and blues of the dragonfly on my palm
Perhaps that is where the secret lies

Even bruises heal
And same hues need not apply to forever

Sometimes the hurts and anger are left behind
So even the spirit might learn to fly
In  time and within
The air they are given to breathe

One couldn’t capture beauty intent only to own
I pondered
thinking of how I was content
To watch it pass through
A simple dragonfly
Adding to my life a moment or two
To revel in the way it sat
And saw me through a thousand eyes

Maybe she too has learned to soar
And those colors I abhorred now find
Their sheen to be one of pleasing hue

If I closed my fist before it would die
And I have never meant to harm
This delicate creature of now and musings
Or the her I’d come to know
Through time and dreams

I moved my hand and watched it fly
Hoping she too was well and warm
Within the colors she now wore

Well sir, I loved this.  I have a special thing for dragon flies as they have come to sit on me at special times (or is their sitting what made the time special?) Warmed my heart, this one did..Thank you very much.

"The power of Dragonfly lies in its ability to see around things by looking from different angles. Using its ability to transform colors and lights by reflecting and refracting them, Dragonfly shows us that life, like light, can bend, shift, and adapt in various ways, making life's appearance never be what it appears to be. Dragonfly's magic shows us to see through life's illusions and find our true vision. It calls us to transform within our lives and reminds us to feel deeply so we will have the compassion necessary to help ourselves and others."

Scribbles, you say? Your art is the kind that finds and releases. Even the aspect of tension is delicately winged. It's there, as an important ingredient, but only to free your thoughts and your subject.

I'm happy you decided to post this one, today.

Always a fine read.
