Some days are fine:
The thoughts of you
are at the back on my mind
but I can go on with my daily life
fairly well:
After so many months
it still feels like we saw each other
just yesterday.

Some days are hard:
After so many months
the sorrow of being without you
hurts just the same;
I miss you so much
that it physically hurts,
and I cry in pain.

I have known such pain as well. Yes, those "hard days" can actually cause us physical pain. Fortunately, those days (or months!) will eventually turn into more gentle times. May that happen for you, as well.
