unbeknownst to me she left, left behind a man bereft, who sits alone with paper bare, not a word inscribed, despair, hanging heavy on my heart, why oh why did she depart? I do not know where she did go, so here I sit no poem writ, perhaps she took a long vacation, that at least some consolation, for if she left me for some dude, I'd be ticked, you bet, eschewed, I hope she was not in a wreck, but she don't drive, so what the heck, kidnapped perchance? hurt, in a trance? where can she be? I do not know I fear alas, I now must go comes a call from my dear wife, I must return to my real life, my blank paper left behind, leaving with a vacant mind, up the stairs and through the door I just ain't got it anymore how could I lose my faithful muse? |

Seems to me you caught a glimps of her here. Been there too. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Sir, yours skipped away with mine. Perhaps as the summer waves in fall, they will return to bid our call and once again our hand to pen and not miss our muses, after all. |

Ahh...the abandonment issues of the poet (lol) How well I know a desparate dry spell. Love the way you handeled this. ebm |

She must be hangin' out with my muse, Tim. Can't find her either. Cute poem. Ida |
