I attempted to surrender my hope. To allow it to decline at peace. Along a patient, steep slope. An anaesthetised release. But it's eccentricity wouldn't quit. I tried to reason, but believed i was fit. Or close enough, to provide allure. And that ego-trip, i indulged to endure. Upon realizing my failure, I fade in and out. Repititous dreams, ambling in doubt. Fervent reminders of what she means to me. Whilst discovering that we'll never be. I don't love me, I'm no liar. So I understand . . . Why you can't either. |
