Lovely, Margherita.  I often wonder why that pure love isn't here on the ground.  Well, it is, of course, because we're here but the distractions of life - how overpowering they are until, until ... the awakening.

Ah, what a breath of fresh air is your poem.  I have my nose buried in that beautiful rose, and whilst I think (though I may be wrong) that yellow roses have no scent, I am smelling its sweet, sweet perfume.

This is excellent writing and photography! Very nicely composed, and the picture is "almost" hypnotic.

I believe it is true that most yellow roses have little or no scent, but also that this is true of most showier, big-bloomed roses bred in the 20th Century.

Thank you, my dear Poet friends, for your very kind replies.

As Photobucket cancelled MY picture from this post, I try to send in the direct link, so in case it disappears again you can see it by clicking on the link ... I hope

Margherita, I just popped in again to enjoy this again - and I discovered that you are using a new photo of yourself - I love it (loved the old one too).  I am not sure if this is your first poem with the new photo, but it is the first one I have seen. (I always read every Margherita poem I find.)  As always, I read all the replies (again) and saw that your rose had apparently disappeared previously, but just for the record, it is back again.

My word! I must be blind or something! I hadn't noticed the new photo of you when I popped into this post the first time!

You look like a blond goddess shimmering in the sunlight! How fitting my dear Dolphina!

Love you!

Girls you make me smile!

Thank you, my beautiful Linda, Diana and Amaryllis. I put in this new picture contemporaneously with this post. But it is a pleasure that you noticed! I am not as blond usually, but summer at the seaside made them brighter than usual! Funny.

The picture was made at the lake a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I could use it to update my "reflection".

Smiles and hugs and thank you!

and always LOVE
Margherita

After reading the book, "Eat, Pray and Love"  I came away with a better understanding
of meditation and the ultimate spiritual experience.  Now if I could only get there.

Always love reading you, good poetess.
Nice picture too~~
