Only one of them
For us to take to beating heart
And we
The adoring trophies
At their feet
Hunger for their
Every word
And would be beckoned
To their every whim
Just to get close
Enough
To them
To see inside
Their human eyes

ah~~ I like this and the form you chose to use.
As for celbrities...and wanting to be close to them, I am sure the "worship" or "trophies" varies a lot.
I'd guess, a good deal is misguided with some of the more celebrated Reality stars...

I think myself..I would prefer the genuine interest or curiosity I might have for people to be my guide...

very nicely done ma'am.... I enjoyed the perspective and the read.
