The Trek proceeds at sunrise, and into the underground.
Where the bones of a native hunter, and
a pinto horse can be found.
He once strode through the vast wilderness,
setting quickly on his even hoofed steed.
The thrill of the pace, pushed all caution
aside,as daring then took the lead. Both
equine, and rider, fixed in thunderous stride,
in pursuit of a black bear, on a moonless
night ride. The ground collapsed on a sink hole,
swallowing him through a gap.His resting place,
a cold water pond, on the edge of drip-stone
filled trap.Today,warmth and moisture fill
the recessed rock spaces. As bats perched
upside down share the cave's hidden
places.Giant diamond like crystals,
grow at base of the towering walls.
While somewhere in the maze of the
limestone, the voice of the lost
river calls.

Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured.

A ghostly tale, yet very well expressed.

Love,
