My eyes have swelled like balloons,
Their no longer red their maroon.
I should go to bed,
But I play games in stead
And cry when the sun drowns the moon.

My head is all groggy and slow,
Like a freight train caught in the snow.
Thoughts trickle through my mind,
Mulled over and refined,
As the sun is starting to show.

Nights, where the problems of the day come back to haunt us and we find ourselves praying for daylight to come and wash the pain away.  Liked this.

Loved this, dear Andrew. Very good imagery.
