When the wind blows free, cross the western skies, And tumbleweeds search for a new home, I shall be on my knees, begging please baby, please, Don’t make me go on: all alone, When storm clouds gather, and skies blaze with fire, And Thunder crashes round my brain, I lye in disbelief, and pray for relief, From this self inflicted pain, When you told me goodbye, You won’t know how I cried, But I brought it on myself, Yes; I brought it on myself. When the tears in my eyes, and the ache in my heart, Are more than I can stand, I shall be on my knees, begging Lord hear my plea’s, And lend me your guiding hand, When the sun shines through, with rainbows bright, And the storms in my mind go away, I find my love, with help from above, For she said that she would stay, When you told me goodbye, You won’t know how I cried, But I brought it on myself, Yes; I brought it on myself, You found it in your heart, To give us a new start, Though, I brought it on myself. The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

Hey WT, Am I the first to have read this? I think it's quite good - is it a song? It reads like one. Thank you for sharing. Alison |

Hey, Alison, Long time no see, I did write it as a song, I am so glad you liked it, I wish this site had a way of letting us know how many times a poem may have been viewed, but, Thank you for your wonderful comments, and it looks like you may have been the first. Tracey |
