ME. In the Shadow of the Mt.

0 posted 2010-08-17 08:03 PM

I found your old love letter today
and I almost threw it away
Why keep something from the past
When your love didn't last

Or was it I who couldn't see
What you really meant to me
With trembing hands I couldn't decide
Should I take a peek inside

With warning bells I wouldn't heed
I opened the letter and begun to read
There was no hurt but love inside
All your feelings you did confide

A tear slipped freely down my cheek
Forever this letter I will keep
For it was I who set you free
But lover, you came back to me
Lucky, Lucky Me!
