the old bar is still there in memory
or at least the whiskey smells linger
on the brown boards along the sidewalk
across the street from a church

where god used to watch our adultery
on some saturday afternoon summers
when you wore dresses and voyeurs
and I wore jeans and tattoos sometimes

we had that booth in the corner there
by the window that made your skin shimmer
and the whisper men talk about wanting
but they were afraid of guns and knives

so they left you to be my whiskey woman
and just shook their heads those evenings
when we were too obvious in parking lots
beside freeways and wondered who was looking

before we became love drunk invisible again

Loved it.  Sometimes the best memories are made in those old dark bars.

The best premise to true bliss! When we are aware only of the love currents tying us together ... to leave traces forever, like tattoos yes!

Works like an injection of youth!

Love,
Margherita
