There's a fragile racket in the things you have left behind, the phantom banter of long, elegant banners hang mosaic as Summer beckons, a quarrel beneath the eaves, the vulgar syntax of secrets suck their gentle enunciation in the esophagus, voices rattle the crystal teacups, culled in field of pale blue entreaties, and become a brisk rasp of suede whipers, a humming in the bloodied aviary, the trembling of dragonfly wings crushed and kept between the pages of a book, bound in patchwork silks and oblivion as it ribbons through the veins and swells its velvet upon my Cinderella heart made of glass envelopes, and tiny dark umbrellas that twirl, and those venticular reds swirl over my alaphabet, slowly as it dwindles to vowels in the sternum, I can now keep a teaspoon of milk, its vanilla scent in a paisley dress, the seamstress with all her fine measurements has named this pattern: catastrophe or wreckage, and in long, slow strokes, sews a mirage from mere longing, and weaves through its hook-and-eye closures at my back, there's a deep intake of breath, and in the distance, the golden drone of bees, a honeycomb whisper of cornhusks & suicide pumpkins along a bric-a-brac-yellow-brick-path, as tiny parasols twirl in the sun, I still dream of rainstorms, and scrub my skin in the bath until it pearls. ![]() |

Babygirl, a treasure indeed. I always feel as if I have succumbed in a drawer full of multi-splendiforous jewels when I chance to read any of your poems. I'm running out of accolades. ![]() ![]() |
