Here is the purple-painted barn With sunflowers growing outside, Near to an old abandoned farm Awaiting the bulldozer's pride. See how the sun fades paint to wood, And how the green weeds try to climb? Icicle shadows reversed could--- That's how it looked last wintertime. When cold howls, and planks hibernate In tune with the freezing of mind. At last, a crocus to vibrate And dormant new grasses to find. Whispering twilight warns of night. This dark old barn soon fades from sight. |

I really liked this poem. It flows very nicely and your words painted a wonderful picture of this scene. Bravo. |

I like all the references here, the natural setting, the relation to the human condition. Very nicely done. To return the compliment, great poem! Best Regards, Novus_Os |

Near perfect use of the Shakespearian sonnet form. The couplet resolves the poem nicely. |
