Proverblets A good deedsmith Needs wisdom's pith, Therefore, my friends, To make good ends With fewest sinnings Make good beginnings: Though love is blest Wisdom is best. Give up not books For women's looks. Above all creeds Serve Nature's needs. On an ant put No willing foot. Beauty be warer Is in the bearer. Patience is graced Sooner than haste. Vita and mort Are nature's sport. A word in need Is a good deed. The best defence Is wit and sense. A good war wields No more than shields. A spark full small Soon burns down all. There is no law Without a flaw. Blind loving's tongue Sweetens the dung. An inch of strength Beats a bad length. Wait until heaven, Then marry seven. Dreams are as tall As life is small. In all amounts Everything counts. Where makeup crowns Queens turn to clowns. Hoods that are false Soon lose their balls. Pleasure and reasoning Are art's best seasoning. A knight most true Saves dragons too. Kithe and make couth The traits of truth. Complexity Is chaos' key. A penny's luck Beats a curst buck. To fiends and friends Wish all good ends. |

I really enjoyed these and found them to be true. I especially liked the Queens and make up. A |

Wisdom is something I have aspired to for as long as I can remember. I enjoyed these, especially the part about saving the precious little (big) dragons too. Owl |

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I learned a new word - "kithe" - and enjoyed the seldom used word "couth" and was fascinated by the fact that "uncouth" is used so often in these times, but "couth" almost never. Owl |
