he has on his soot suit arrogance
swivel heading his lie tied spin
chewing his pretty words illegible
so the sheep can swallow them again

he has his jaunty shimmer lotion on
an antichrist with talking bible
like those other puppets he handles
stiring the blood of their shadows

the watching men sip their bitter tea
angry as a cracker pride can muster
but they must be bigots and bigones
since their god calls a spade a spade

and their justice was never truly blind
