Even now the images appear....
As lace casts the mystery of light upon skin
Enticing eyes to watch as she moves in circles
against the brush of hands
while the sway of curtain matches the
move of rounded hips to music
Only her body knows how to sing

Should I have been painter
The canvas of morning would take the base
Of her spine and scribe along the ends of nerve
How love,
mixed with grace
Brought to prayer the intimate words that
my lips would color tender a
Parted soft..the pinks with tip of tongue
but vowels or an arc scribed in

Belief and faith
The map of complex curves measured degrees
that sigh an indigo of line where
The shortest distance is not sought
And the way her breast rise and fall do not perplex the mind
But soothe the eyes as the beauty of form is shown
To be the common shape of flesh
And I meander with fingertips along the images
Conjured with time

to bind upon the dawn
a blindfold left from midnight's eyes
and utterances of words
     relief, release, repast
whispered
           softly Blue

A good read here, even for one no longer a schoolboy. From your descriptive words I can picture the dancer and imagine how she looks, is dressed, and moves seductively.

The slight putdown of her vocal singing (if applicable)---the wish for more basic vowel sounds---and the tension between midnight desire and daylight reason are also appreciated...

I think you are a painter, and you painted a beautiful picture here.  Beautiful and very romantic.

Sunkissed... requests? LOL
what is it you are thinking of?

I thank you for the eyes on this.... and for the kind words.

I must warn you.... much of what I have written in the past is no longer around, so if there is something you have in mind you want to see, then if it does not exist in the archives here, it may well be lost to the winds.

The poem in question was called "Written of Us" I really loved that poem. I hope that you still have it.

but if should turn up or I should find it someplace, I'd be happy to post it.

I had the poem for a while, but our computer crashed and I lost it, along with "Psalms of souls."

Still, it's nice to see you posting again. I join so many other poets here who truly enjoy reading you.

This is so very exquisite! And oh, please do not let your poems escape on the wind! I was profoundly sad when I read that, because it would be a crime to lose any of your writings. I`m sure I`m not the only one who feels this way.  I pray they are recorded somewhere, hard copy.

I have a terrible habit of deleting pieces.... and did not save a lot of what I have written. The archives here hold quite a few and I have looked here and there at other places I have posted, but they do not archive with the dillegence Ron has built into this sight, so I fear a good many are gone.

My own thought on the matter is.... that it is no great loss.. LOL.. but thank you for the kind words and thought that they might have been worth saving.
