Cool, gray mornings in July... unusual. But who cares why. I enjoy the sunshine so much more when it slips in gently and fashionably late. Soon enough the dog days of August will crash this party, sending me in search of the summer gala's most honored, and eagerly anticipated, guest... Autumn. Ida Werrett |

this is great. i too love a fashionably late sun. i just spent the weekend in santa cruz, ca. the sun doesn't pull through the morning overcast till at least noon most days. gotta love coastal weather. =) Joe Keep flying to the sun with these gargoyle wings. |

Nicely penned Ida but you are lucky just having a cool grey morning over there. At the moment nearly every morning here is heavily laden with frost. The coldest winter for years. Loved your poem, love Lindsay |

Ida....for as long as winter was this last season, I fully understand the "temperatude" you're giving this particular writing. Kudos, lady...it's a gem. Particularly, quote: And those would be under the grayer skies... Thank you! |

This was great Ida, I'm not as big of a fan of the heat as i used to be, so a cool July is not so bad for me... I hope the sun does peak out though and kiss you on the cheek! Richard xx |

Thank you all for your comments. My computer had a virus and I was off the site for a while. It's nice to be back. Ida |

This is great stuff, very like a gently cooler, overcast morning in Midsummer. (We had that over the weekend of the Fourth here. ) |

I'd trade cold days in July for your cool one any day. We see the sun most days here in our winter but when we don't I simply write off the day and pretend it doesn't exist - well, try to at any rate. Helen |
