I hope my stories don't bore you, but I just had to tell you...that first spring after Katrina? We had sunflowers popping up all over the city...it was amazing.

And I took it to mean we were going to be alright.

They are about...hope.

Thanks for sharing them, and your poetry. Reading from the archives always gets me teary-eyed. Glad you linked that one because I think I missed it. I have always been partial to sunflowers and honeysuckle.

almost had a sunflower on my Harley the other day....some blond in a vw bug with sunflower stickers all over it, almost backed into me while talking on a cell phone, eating a bagel and putting on her makeup..I think I like yours better!!
