When I get old
...and cease to work,
I think I will
...become a jerk,
"I'll be crotchety,
...that's what I'll be,"
I said to Connie,
..."just wait and see."
My dear wife up
...and shook her head,
She said, "Old man,
...get on to bed.
A few more years
...you'll have to work,
But you're already there,
...as far as jerk."

This is something that can really sneak up on one. Not that I'd know about it personally---haven't had a day off in years now.
