Bones Gets Farmed Out |

The local authorities are sick and tired of picking Bones up off the street, and trying to give him good advice about structuring his life, and then delivering him to his mother. They decide that Bones would be better off in the country, on a farm. There’s a heart rending scene when they come to Bone’s house and pick him up. There’s a lot of screaming and crying. You can probably imagine, or perhaps not. By the time the authorities deliver Bones to his new “home” on the farm, he’s a mess. He can’t seem to do anything but sob hysterically. The farmer and his wife are unimpressed. They are however, happy to have new slave labor to work on the farm. Bobby |

Perfect first part to the one I replied to before. Yes, this was in most (or all?) cases the number one reason of taking in some child (the work done for nothing than a bowl of food and a shelter). I wish these were horrors from other times only, but still children are so much abused around the world. Love, Margherita |

Thanks dear Margherita, Yes, what you say is true. This happened to my friend Bones about sixty some years ago. I'm sure the beat goes on. Love Bobby |

The entire scenario is heart-breaking. Bones must have felt like a poor lost soul. As sad as the situation was, at least he was safer than on the streets. This story is enough to make me cry right along with him. As you mentioned in your reply to Margherita, that took place 60 years ago. I pray to God that the placement of 'troubled' children has greatly improved since those days. Some children are born with silver spoons in their mouth and have no idea what hell others have experienced. Love 'n hugs, Linda |

Thanks dear Linda, Bones and I, we never leave the city. If I can help it, I never visit the country. Love Bobby |

Thanks dear Alison, It's good that the experience did not break Bone's heart. The experience made him stronger. Love Bobby |

Thanks dear Ida, It would be good if it didn't happen now, but it still happens all too often. Love Bobby |

Bobby - As mentioned in the other writing, Bones got taken in by the wrong farmer. How well I know this writing... BC |

It is heart breaking when chilren are exploited by the people that adopt them. What a cruel world. |

Thanks Earl, Bones was not adopted in this case. He was what we call a foster child. Foster homes are many times cruel. There are a lot of good people adopting kids, and giving them good homes. Bobby |

It is amazing what is done in the name of "just trying to help." Makes me think about the road of good intentions and where it leads. Sorry such a path was laid at Bones' feet. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

Thanks Andrew, For your concern for Bones. It's just another obstacle for Bones to overcome. Bobby |
