I sit here, working away, listening to music. I pause often, just to hear and feel some pieces. “Pavane pour une infante defunte”, slow and stately, so sad and melodic. I stop typing to absorb it. “Moonlight Sonata”, I stop again and close my eyes. This melody is physical for me, a wave of emotion That crosses my heart and mind. Again I stop typing. I am held in place by the pulsing of the notes. “Ice Crystals” now I have moved into New Age. The sounds of crystalline notes ripple, backed by the sound of wind swishing by, going somewhere out in space. The ice crystals of a comet passing close to our ball of earth. Finally, something more modern? Peter Gabriel grieves with me from the soundtrack of City of Angels. How I wish I could have said those words first, he grieves so beautifully and deeply. This song lingers in my soul, I want to “let it out and move on” |

That was so cool, I don't listen to classical music but I could still imagine the vibe of these different types of music as you penned away this wonderful piece. Thanks for sharing your special words and your love for music, it was grand! Happy Fourth of July Eldest! Richard |

Very nicely done! I am not sure if the word "pieces" is the best one in the first stanza, but otherwise it feels like listening to the music. Brava! |
