Life makes sense, and it doesn’t. The universe doesn’t make sense and yet it does. Can you fall in love with something that you can never touch? Like sounds on the other side of a hill, or a western breeze that soothes your knees and makes things soft, baby and blue, float in shores of shimmering pools. They say to fall in love with faraway wouldn’t make any sense. But then my love has never even made dollars, let alone cents. Common sense is knowing, that there is no such thing. Don’t be afraid of bitten mouth breaches or ruptured rapture, the hardened steel of perpetual intimacy is forged with fires the lips can capture What does it mean to be sensible anyway? Sexy knickers never make any sense to me either unless they inspire me to pull them off of you, hungrily. I am the guy running into the rain while others seek shelter from all of their pain. I got things to go and places to do and they all will forever, revolve around you. The only way to make sense out of this world is to find someone who can hear the same music in the wind who will join you in the dance. The only thing about my heart that is true is that love will never make any sense unless I make it, with you. |

My guess is that all things that don't make sense are in the hands of God to take care of...then those things seem to make sense. My husband fell in love with me 16 years ago when we first met though I was with his friend and wanted nothing to do with cheating or leaving. Little did I know I wasn't happy afterall. Spent the next 16 years lost, trying to make sense of it all. Then I knew. Beautiful ending to this poem of yours and I love it! |
