You always have so many ideas, ways to better my life and my world. I don't know where you got it, certainly not from me or your dad. You stepped out on faith, marrying a man from another culture, raising his child, now bearing one of your own. I know you aren't perfect, but you are so much more than I ever was. You are strong and brave and smart and funny, and so willing to share. Don't let your self-doubts get in the way of living your life. You can do and be whatever you want to do or be. You've already proved that, at least to me, if not to yourself. Be bold, reach out and try new things at least once in a while. Never completely grow up, it's boring to feel old. Life is all about learning something new every day, even small things. Your light shines on my life and I will never be able to say how much I love you. |

This is to honor my younger daughter who turned 29 this morning and is 8 months pregnant with her firstborn child. She has an 8 year old stepdaughter who doesn't know what "step" means. She also just finished her 2nd Master's degree at UA Tuscaloosa |

This is a most beautiful, poignant poem for your daughter, dear Eldest. Happy Birthday! When a Mother speaks such words it means the world to a daughter, she will cherish you and your encouraging, admiring words forever. Love, Margherita |

You will never be able to say how much you love her? I think you just did a pretty good job of it! Very touching, miss... |

Kudos not only to your daughter, but to the mother that raised her to be one of the finer hallmarks in your life. Of course, the grandchildren will make her shine even more! I especially liked the fact that her "step" daughter doesn't know she is. Only that she is beloved. |

Your light shines on my life and I will never be able to say how much I love you. Thank you dear Lady for sharing this poignant heart touching poem about your lovely daughter. She will be so proud of her Mum when she reads what you have to say about her. Those words you have written here are such wise words of advice, not only to your daughter but to everyone who reads your poem. May God bless you and your daughter. Lindsay |

I mean, think about it? She has to be a wonderful daughter. Got her degree from Bama, (Roll Tide)....has a mom that can flow beauty thru a pen or keyboard into thought provoking verse? Yea, Eldest, enjoy that grandbaby. |
