The most depressing thing about cars is that no matter how far they take you they cant take you away from where youve been and cigarettes remind me of my Father because you never can just walk away can you? To many lies taste like Marlboro Red 72s and they both leave a burnt plastic taste wrapped around your brain. So I smoke it down to the filter, smile encouragingly, and light up another one. |

The things we remember, those that remind us and how we celebrate are so sharply unique. So stinging and hauntingly real. |

A depressing read, but it does resonate. What can one say? Enjoy the benefits of anonymity and take a hike, maybe with a camera and no cigs... smell the proverbial flowers that way. Wish I could. Ha. You made me think, so the poem succeeds in the eye of the beholder! |
