Fly from me does all I would have stay,

O blackwater tether,
thick of heart, imperishable moth,
our handsewn wings are the color of candlelight,
sinew harvested from the body,

each word, a cell
each body hollow, a facade
or secret love note full of rage,
tucked between pages 8 and 9,

its body a clockwork field of schrapnel and black harvest,
water is its own gravity, light itself, a lure,

O sovereign river, be my door,
my satin twilight, and all other ecstasies
eclipse autumn in the body,

a tin and copper cuckoo
clenched at the shrieking threshold
sounds like ardor,
sounds like joy,
prayer enough, for now,

O sovereign of my heart,
your temple is deep in the dead branches,
stirring solely if the wind delves so far,

Eden is all terror now,
sovereign of the heart's red neglect,

let us begin again, at the apex
of the body, the greys giving way to olive,
then hunter, then lime,

the time to drown all the wreaths in the river is come,
another song, a bauble in the tethered beak,
its sleek and rapt sound of ascent

bent, tiny white parasols emerge
like gooseflesh from my limbs,
hand-sewn, their sinew harvested from the body

swell in joy,
the yeast of the heart endlessly rising
to live a long time after death

like birdsong.

I must confess that while I don`t entirely `get` this piece, it is so sublimely drenched in fresh metaphor and living imagery that I cannot help but love it! You are very talented.
