the night comes and finds me in a daze my eyes fixed on her blank expression eyes closed, but still fluttering ever so slightly i wished i could invite myself into her thoughts, her darkest dreams her desire's compass i would aim in my direction her heart braving tempestuous waters to reach her destination her and i, basking in the warmth of our endless summer sun ...if the world were generous enough to grant me entry my heart would twist and writhe within me blood thickening at the influx a foreign feeling it escapes my mouth in excess with every choked exhale as i muster the nerve to extend a lustful trembling hand that would never fail to stop short of its aim i could only imagine the sensation gracing my fingertips finally brushing against your untainted skin and once again i would retreat to my mind's depraved, shameful eye inside my head there's a room that a young man fears to enter every color of the spectrum bursting forth from the crevices of an angel's bedroom door entranced by the colors that strobe lightly under her doorway dancing, pulsing to the rhythm of her tranquil sleep he's finally overcome with a disgusting longing and the thrill of blemishing something so rare and beautiful he fulfills his undeserved desires clawing for, needing, demanding a feeling she would never live to return in the darkest of catacombs of my restless sleep my hatred for him swells within me only seeing satisfaction in his demise but every morning i awake alone her perfection her vibrant spectrum of light her innocence an illusion hastily whisked away by the morning light and the arrival another day another day without makes me long to sleep forever in an endless night where i'd rest eternally the boy and i wishing for that room. that light. that feeling that would never come. I want life in every word, to the extent that it's absurd.- The Postal Service |
