I think of the Osprey and how easily they make flight look And I think of you, once-friend-always-sister, and I want to cry I still want to share with you I still want what we had Some say make the first move And, in my head, I have many times but emotionally I cannot heal These scars from your cuts My head says let go, move on; But my heart still seeps tears Drowning the emptiness You left inside me, once-friend-always-sister I try to write poems, any poem, Just one (hell, I don’t even have to like it) Instead, I see the words you wrote As they dance behind my eye lids Like paper-chain paper-dolls, Mocking my efforts and whispering, Taunting me until, once again, I am captured in your relentless grip You won But I’ll always wonder if you liked your prize - Alison |

Oh Ali, I have the same situation with a brother, it wears at the soul doesn't it? Hang in there dear friend. Remember, water is thinner then blood, hopefully over time, enough of it, in tears will flow under the bridge so that you two can meet, somewhere in the middle, where two loving sisters belong. Hi Ida, I almost removed this when I got up this morning. Thank you for caring - we exchanged a series of one line messages last night through email. Maybe it's a start. It hurt and thus the poem. I love you, my friend. Alison - Richard, Yes, it does wear me and my soul down. However, I do have hope that someday we will work through this. After we get past mourning the friendship we had, we might be able to build a new one. Thank you and hugs right back to you. xoxoxo Alison - late, Thank you with all my heart. I do believe that this will change for the better in time. I just need to write it out and I am starting to do that. xoxoxo Alison |
