I am but a fool, Who believes he can write, So he reads of poems of love I am but a fool, So for me there is no love, For this reason I shall rename the dove, Name male lo, and the female ov, Same sounding of 'of' in much different meaning, For with one nay the other it has no meaning, I am but a fool, An ignorant boy, Dreams of golden paved roads, So ignorant boy, Reality of the world, Hits boys as such rough, If you can stand against the rain, You may perhaps do well just yet, So stand as you must, But for me? I am just a fool, "To er'r is human" Is that what they said? I must be very human, A gift I don't quite accept, She must be divine, For she does all, except, The gears of the ancient grind to a halt, In the way of the new, the stunning, the youth, Respect is expected, and given, As the generations pass, They are rejected, and driven, Away from the mainstream, Do not blame them, Do not give fault, "Just because I wrote it, doesn't mean I lived it." - Author Unknown |

The gears of the ancient, they are well lubed with experience and wisdom until they just can't mesh anymore. I understood this write, I think you expressed your thoughts quite well. |
