If I had just one wish I'd wish to be free Wish to be away from this misery Wish to stand tall Without the urge to jump from this balcony Wish to smile The depths of my mind... Empty Flip a quarter just to decide my fate Heads I'll be on my way home, be there just in time Tails I'll take my time, and end up late I'm wishing on this star Take me somewhere far Too far for me to trudge on back Take me where my troubles drown The deepest ocean to be found I don't care if its cold I'll shiver in bliss Feel my heart smother with a Hiss On that day when you remember my smile See the butterfly carry your heart Feel the silver on your neck I'll be no where near The irony will cause me to bleed And I will cry silently I never took heed Never understood Love is a scar Bare it well. "Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it." |

I understand this too well right now to offer any meaningful insight. I keep telling myself that it won't always feel this way, but saying it hasn't made me believe it. Just please don't let either heads or tails ever become that balcony. Poignant write. |
