I'll never get used to the way you make me feel Laughing one minute and crying the next It's almost as if you had planned this These sensations you cast upon me Doubt and confidence all drawn in the same conclusion About how we're supposedly meant for each other And maybe even in love But from where I'm standing you're all I've ever dreamed of having And at the same time, all I'm really scared to lose You're nothing more than my current test subject I've studied your kind but have yet to find a man like you Your intentions seem so spontaneous it makes no sense to me How you claim to go with everything but whenever I go along I'm always doing something wrong I don't ask for much because I've learned you don't have much to give And I would never take your everything I've no use for unordinary accomplishments that mean nothing to society Nor reasons about why we're supposedly meant for each other Or maybe even in love Emily Shives May 12th 2010 |

SlowlyFallAway - you've said it all with this writing. I'm impressed with these words and how they read across the page... BC |

You speak so much truth about the twist and turns we spin ourselves into in relationships! Good capture. ebm |

I have been in a relationship like this and I still haven't found the common ground nor a pure answer. You wrote the poem well. |
