Walk with Me

As I feel you in the mist of thought
The music of tenderness plays on
As we dance the dance of lovers
My sense of destiny is overwhelmed..
...by passion

If I could I would give you my soul
That yearns for emotional stability
Though you strive for sameness
With diligence and hope

The truth of wisdom reveals to me
That as much as we are the same
And may share the same path
We will experience that...
...we walk at a different pace.

a couple that walk at the same
pace without the rat-race pushing
them on? Send me a photo.

Yes, I like this poem. Strong imagery in the first verse. And the ending is well done. I have trouble ending poems. A really good love poem.

Beautiful thoughts, very well expressed.

A different pace can be choreographed into a dance of harmony, I believe.

soul mates of which each must complete they're paths...I've read where soul mates are not good at a long time romance...due to them being so alike...? Who knows...however, you certainly capture the feelings and desires...

Fourth time I've read this poem, Walt. Each time the lines
And may share the same path

stand out in my mind as the major reason people either stay together
or don't.
