Oh, Dear, dear one, how clothes to you this makes me want to feel with you, even though I do not know you, or anything, and yet the way you write cries out to me a closeness without barriers, shed, like the ordinary cares of daily life, all pretenses cast on the floor, because they are just for benefit of wearing in the gray box, daytime clocks and papers world where everybody runs around trying to impress each other, complaining and yelling at each other, tricking and deceiving, annoying, misleading, and confined, so proper in their stuffy, phony suits. Except here on Pip, how you are bearing, publicly, so much more than just your soul, and how this talks to me without words. The world is full of so much phoniness and so much lies. It took me an hour just to write this. O dear one, how this makes me feel, and to imagine that I may know another who is as honest and passionate as you … and all the phoniness left in tatters on the floor. But right now there are dishes in the sink. Sends you long and tender hugs and kisses. |
