"Conformity" Every day, to me it seems, The world in which we live begins To wear away at those with dreams Until they are no more Their brilliant light is doused, you see, To dim their independent thoughts And shape them to conformity Before they spread the word But how much longer 'til we find Our world so dull and tedious And see through eyes so color blind Our lives in shades of grey? Well we just have to fight the establishment - plain and simple. I would never live in a world that was not colorful. Sad how fear of something will deny people a wonderful experience, or knowing a wonderful person. Can you tell I like your "stuff?" |

It is sad when the nail that sticks up is hammered down. For those that are different have much to contribute. |

well, I am not sure if it is because I spent my teen years in the '60s or what, but I really related to this...nicely written and thoroughly enjoyed |

Every effort to see the colors of life as a child can for the whole life is well worth. And yet to a certain degree we all "conform". Well written! Love, Margherita |
