Do you remember the Titanic? The movie has brought it fame. The loss of life was tragic, But did ya hear about the Mayonnaise? Hellman's Mayonnaise was from England, The Titanic had twelve thousand jars, It was lost in the sinking, Sandwich lovers grieved afar. The whole world mouned at the loss, "How would we make salads with our potatoes?" So they made a day of mourning, Now known as "Sinko de Mayo." |

Given that none of my students (over 2/3rd are hispanic from Mexico) were able to tell me why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated, I probably could have gotten away with this story. Very funny my friend. Thanks for the laugh. Peace. "We'll chase them like rats across the tundra." |

I've always said, those who can't LAUGH at History are doomed to repeat it. ...or is that re-eat it? not sure.... |
