Walking side by side, babbling brook rushing by, sheep grazing, ruminating idly, watching us with disinterest, we enter the fairytale. Green mossed boulders by ancient smooth stone slabs laid as if by giants, haphazardly tossed in immense crazy paving, worn silken by constant feet passing by. Our heads thrown back, searching intently for tree-creepers, following knarled tree trunks upwards past disfigured limbs in tortured pose. Diseased bark portraying grotesque faces that leer and watch as night draws in, changing the mood, fairytale haven, a hellish nightmare waiting. Hurrying back we swop glances, malevolent eyes watch. Yo dear Naturegirl, This is well written. I like your use of the word "swop". Love Bobby |

Both places are intriguing --thank you for the visual journey. Reminded me of a REALLY old-school computer text adventure game called "Advent"... -MVS You CAN make a difference, but first you should learn how: http://educate-yourself.org/intro.shtml [This message has been edited by MARK V SHELDON (04-27-2010 12:09 AM).] |
