The only thing I hear
is the rhythm in my head
The pound of my heart
and the beat of heels on the pavement
as I walk along

Oh, I see the signs
and the admonitions at every turn
and every curve in the road
telling me

This way
That way
Stop
Yield
Merge

But all I hear
Is the rhythm in my head
The pound of my heart
And the beat of my heels on the pavement

As I go my own way

If I don't say it...who will?

I think you have a pretty good tune to listen to. Your poem is perfect for your picture. Thanks for the laugh. Peace.
